What immersion actually delivers
The headset stops being a demo gadget the moment it solves a problem a screen cannot: understanding a volume, rehearsing a dangerous movement, visiting an inaccessible place, remembering a profession after thirty seconds of trying it. Those are the uses we work on.
We turn down projects whose only purpose is the announcement. An immersive experience is expensive to produce and is judged on use: time spent, return rate, ability to run unattended.

Capture the real rather than model it
Modelling an environment by hand costs weeks. Capturing it with Gaussian splatting takes a few hours on site and returns a photorealistic result, with the real materials and the real light. It is the technique we prefer whenever a place that actually exists has to be reproduced.
The technical work then shifts to optimisation: a raw point cloud will not hold a headset's framerate. We clean, decimate and segment the scene until the rendering is stable, which is the absolute condition for visual comfort and for avoiding nausea.
Holding up all day in front of the public
A trade-fair experience has different constraints from a five-minute internal demo. It needs a kiosk mode that resets everything between two visitors, a plan for battery and heat, automatic recovery after a fault, and controls that do not require taking the headset off.
On our careers-fair project, the host selects the scene and restarts the experience from an iPad connected to the headset over Bluetooth Low Energy. Visitors touch nothing, and the host never touches the headset.
Beyond the Vision Pro
The Vision Pro is not always the right answer. To equip several dozen stations, the Meta Quest costs considerably less and is often sufficient. For mobile use at scale, augmented reality on iPhone or iPad remains the only realistic route: no hardware to buy, no logistics.
So we also work with ARKit, RealityKit and Unity, and we always settle the platform question on user numbers, budget and venue before discussing technology.
How to start without committing an unreasonable budget
We suggest starting with a prototype focused on a single scene and a single use case, delivered in four to six weeks. It exists to settle the question: either the experience convinces and the full project is justified, or it does not and you have committed only a fraction of the budget.
It is also the best way to convince internally. A management team decides far faster after wearing the headset than in front of a slide deck.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Vision Pro have a serious professional use?
Yes, in specific cases: training a physical skill, reviewing a design at full scale, presenting a product that cannot be transported. It is poorly suited to prolonged daily use and to large-scale rollouts, for reasons of price and comfort.
Vision Pro or Meta Quest?
The Vision Pro offers higher display quality and text sharpness, which matters for reading a document or examining fine detail. The Quest costs roughly ten times less and is easier to deploy in numbers. We decide on the number of stations and the visual precision required.
Can we reuse our existing CAD models?
Yes, but rarely as they are. A design model carries a level of detail incompatible with real-time rendering. We simplify and re-texture it to hold the framerate, keeping exact dimensions where they matter.
What does an immersive experience cost?
A prototype focused on one scene usually falls between CHF 25,000 and CHF 50,000. A complete trade-fair setup, with several captured environments, remote control and kiosk mode, goes beyond that. The heaviest cost is content production, not code.
Do we need a technician on site during the event?
No, and that is precisely what we design to avoid. Kiosk mode, automatic reset, recovery after faults and simple iPad control let a non-technical person run the stand.
