Engineering notes
Short technical notes from our projects: lessons learned, architecture decisions, compliance. No marketing.
What you will find here
These notes are accounts of real projects, not technology watch. We write one when a question comes up often enough with our clients to deserve an answer set down once and for all, and when we have something to say about it that is not already everywhere else.
They are aimed at technical teams and at management who have to decide: choose an architecture, weigh two approaches against each other, or check that a project holds up before committing to it. They are written at the level of detail where the decision is actually made, no higher and no lower.
The subjects match what we build: sovereign artificial intelligence and Swiss FADP compliance, mobile applications for the field, spatial computing, Swiss infrastructure and reversibility.
We do not publish a note to keep to a schedule. When there is nothing to say, there is nothing new here.
Running an on-premise LLM under the Swiss FADP: where to start
What the FADP actually requires, how to choose and size the model, why RAG comes before fine-tuning, and the five traps we see most often.
